Howdy friends, hope that your Monday morning is going well so far. Here are some traffic spots to be aware of now and into the near future.
South Loop
1. Two eastbound lanes from Gulf Freeway to East Freeway closed nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
Texas 3
2. Various lanes in both directions from Clear Lake/FM 2351 to Bay Star closed from 7 tonight to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Texas 225
3. Various lanes in both directions from Miller Cut Off to Center closed nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
FM 1764
4. Various lanes in both directions from FM 2004 to Texas 3 in Texas City closed daily 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Friday.
Dairy Ashford
5. Various lanes in both directions at Katy Freeway closed nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Wednesday.
Long-term closures
• East Freeway
One lane of eastbound ramp to northbound Eastex Freeway closed until further notice.
• Beltway 8 West
Southbound ramp to westbound Katy Freeway closed until July 31. Southbound ramp to eastbound Katy Freeway closed until Oct. 31. Northbound ramp to eastbound Katy Freeway closed until Nov. 30.
• Katy Freeway
Eastbound ramps from Eldridge and to and from Bunker Hill closed.
• North Loop
Eastbound entrance ramp from Irvington closed until Aug. 31.
Westbound entrance ramp from Hardy closed until May 31.
• FM 519
All lanes in both directions at Texas 6 in Hitchcock closed until May 31. - chron.com

The downtown freeway ramp that was engulfed in flames last Thursday night from a tanker explosion has reopened.
The ramp’s one lane wide and allows southbound drivers to go from 59 North to I-10 East. One of the lanes above the one mentioned, also sustained some damage but apparently that will not be fixed until more of the support beams are back up to code.
I’ve read that concrete for the 59/I-10 ramp was poured and striping has either been put down or will be as soon as the weather permits.
