No news is sometimes good news, and things are slowing in Houston today so I figure I’ll take a moment to depart from the normal path of topics I cover. I came to Houston from the east coast a bit over 3 years ago and I have many good things to say about my new city that I am so proud to be a part of. I gave the handle “Clutch City…” to my blog because I have been witness to the strong, intense, determined spirit that lives in this thriving metropolis of Texans. In times of do-or-die, it never ceases to amaze me how us Houstonians pull through as individuals and often times a close-knit groups with a definite goal.
This driving force, is something that adds a muster of unique confidence to the air around town. When I was going through college, there were many challenges of all sorts that I was faced with. I can honestly type here in my blog and tell you that being in Houston, surrounded by folks with Texan-gusto, helped me to bear down and go into those challenges full speed ahead with a smile on my face.
I’m interested to hear how the unique atmosphere in our great city has affected you, especially if you’re a transplant like me.
