Texas poker bill is denied, unfortunately
May 15th, 2007A bill that would have allowed legal gambling on Texas Hold ‘Em has unfortunately been denied in it’s process of moving through the political ranks in becoming law. I had previously written about this about two months ago when the bill was first introduced.
We can attribute this denial of bill-into-law for poker players in Texas, due to it being at the bottom of the so called “to-do” list of our reps in the legislature. Can’t really blame them though, poker’s pretty meaningless in comparison to some other issues. I still would have loved to seen gambling on Texas’s favorite card game at selected places, become legal.
If anyone has further news on this or has heard of any other similar bills being introduced, let us know by leaving a comment.
