Matt Schaub is potential Texans quarterback
March 21st, 2007
The big cheeses in our Texans franchise haven’t been able to attract Jeff Garcia nor Patrick Ramsey (both would have done very well with our team), but there still may be hope. Apparently, we’re close to signing Matt Shaub. Atlanta had Shaub as a capable backup for Michael Vick, after being drafted by the team in ‘04. Our potential QB weighs in at 237 and stands nearly 6 and a half feet tall. Plus he’s from Virginia! (personal geographical connection).
It’s do or die time for the Texans (well, has been for while, but now more than ever) and our team needs to make solid decisions, stick with them and MAKE IT WORK THIS SEASON. We’re not as bad as we play, but perhaps that’s due to poor coaching or a combination of lack of confidence in the players as well. In any case, cut the b.s. and get to work. We need wins right off the bat and to show the NFL that we’re an upcoming force that deserves respect. Right now, we’re a laughing stock, and that doesn’t represent Texas well AT ALL.
Do it right, do it well Texans. Your city is hungry and not willing to wait much longer for some red-zone conversions.
