Houston Community College expanding campuses
February 13th, 2007
Popular two-year school, Houston Community College consortium, will begin construction on their northeast campuses beginning the 21st of this month. This expansion is being welcomed by students, especially as HCC’s popularity is increasing.
Back in ‘03 it was the votes cast by Houstonians that approved an approximately 150 million dollar bond referendum which will not fund a multi-campus building improvement plan. This plan cast a wide net, roping in initiatives for classrooms, labs, libraries and more. Many of these new facilities will be part of what is being referred to as “The Learning Hub” at 555 Community College Drive - which definitely gets the thumbs up from me. Anything that furthers aides students’ ability to achieve, is a major positive.
Are there any HCC students/staff/faculty that would like to chime in on this? Maybe you have some additional news to add? Your opinions and feedback are always valued.
