I read some news this morning that really is a step in the right direction for the city. Some flood warning equipment has been tested at one of Houston’s deadly rain overflow spots, which is the beginning of an initiative headed by U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. Recently there were fatalities due to dangerous flood water levels on some of the frontage roads, and hopefully this new equipment of flashing flood warning lights will help end such terrible incidents. Although it’s drizzling this morning, it’s certainly an improvement over the messy conditions of last week, right? Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some sun
