One of Houston’s most popular destinations for both locals and tourists alike, the River Oaks area Laff Stop, will be relocating in January 2007 to a new high-visibility spot @ 526 Waugh Dr. (much unlike the current address, tucked far back into the dark abyss of the shopping center). Keep in mind, 526 Waugh is not more than two miles from the current location - much to the relief of Laff Stop regulars.

Not only is the future location a better showcase for the long-time Houston comedy club, the new space totals a larger square footage @ 7,800, as opposed to the River Oaks’ 6,159.

Weingarten Realty confirms that a lease has indeed been signed for the soon-to-be-former Laff Stop section of the River Oaks Shopping Center. The last show @ the existing location is scheduled for December 31st.
