“Houston icon Marvin Zindler dies at 85
A Houston icon and perhaps the city’s most famous journalist, Marvin Zindler, died Sunday night of pancreatic cancer. He was 85.
He is survived by his second wife, Niki, five children from his first marriage, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A former member of the consumer fraud division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, Zindler went to work for KTRK-TV on the first day of 1973 and had been a Channel 13 fixture ever since, known best for scathing restaurant cleanliness reports and stories about standing up for those in need….”

Fellow ClutchCityDaily’er Jim Thompson has told me that he keeps an updated Google map of all the red light cameras in Houston. Cool!
